Our doors are closed, but our minds remain open.

The Story of Found

Found was the first CBD concept store and cafe in Asia, established by Altum, as part of its mission to bring the life-changing benefits of cannabinoids back to the region.

In July 2020, the doors of Found’s flagship Sheung Wan location first swung open – in the midst of the pandemic – to offer a critically needed antidote as Hong Kong reported some of the world’s highest stress levels. Tucked away on a leafy Poho laneway, it was thoughtfully designed to provide a relaxing environment for people and pets to discover the benefits of CBD and CBG through a range of food, drinks and products.

Located in Tai On Terrace, Found is not the easiest place to find amidst zigzag stairs and dizzying hills in Sheung Wan. But as the name suggests, once you ‘found’ the place, you’ll be able to see and reap all the rewards.

It seems many Hong Kongers were ready for a plant-powered path to everyday wellness, as Found was warmly received by the local community and quickly established a loyal customer base.

Over the next 18 months, Found grow in popularity, range and footprint. Branded pop-ups appeared in a number of City'super and Lane Crawford locations, and additional Found stores were opened in Central Market, Discovery Bay and K11 Art Mall.

Its remarkable trajectory was sadly cut short in early 2022 when the Hong Kong Government announced its intent to ban CBD.

While we are saying goodbye for now, it doesn’t mean goodbye forever.

We are heartened by the progress we made and more focused than ever on bringing the life-changing benefits of cannabinoids back to the Asia-Pacific region, in the markets where we are able to do so lawfully and meaningfully, so watch this space.
